OneCart has launched a new e-commerce grocery website and mobile application that allow users to shop by category across multiple stores. Products can be filtered according to dietary preferences, allowing for a more tailor-made shopping experience.
Founded by Lynton Peter’s and Ariel Navarro in 2016, the South African startup launched to the public in 2018. The online grocery e-commerce platform boasts personalization features including cultural and lifestyle shopping such as Halaal, Kosher, Vegan, Paleo and Banting AI understanding.
The start-up has grown in the last year, with the addition of retail giants like Woolworths, Pick n Pay, CNA, Food Lovers Market and speciality stores such as Jacksons Real Food Market and Fruits & Roots.
The platform includes a ‘social’ signup and the ability to shop by category across multiple stores. Users will also be able to shop by featured recipes and create their own shopping lists that will enable ‘one-click’ ordering and much faster checkout.

In future, OneCart looks to expand the platform by adding features such as gift vouchers, shopper generated subscriptions, coupons for saving and creating and sharing unique recipes.
The platform is available on both Android and IOS devices as well as through the website homepage for OneCart desktops and mobile.
Deliveries are available to customers within 2 hours of purchase throughout South Africa’s major urban hubs, namely Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, and Durban, revealed the company.
