

Airtel Nigeria has launched its 4G LTE in major cities and towns in Enugu state in an aim to help boost communications in the region.
Regional Operations Director, South Region, Dapo Dosunmu, who represented the Managing Director of Airtel Nigeria, said Airtel is committed to the state and will continue to connect towns to its 4G network.
He said that 4G will come with benefits that will accelerate economic and commercial activities. He added: “It will boost personal and professional productivity; it will help in creating more entrepreneurs; it will offer the youth big leverage to express their creativity and talent; it will improve the overall quality of life and connect more people to their dreams.”
60 per cent of the state has so far been covered by the network and the company hopes to cover more towns and villages between July and August this year.
“With 4G, Airtel will also power people businesses and aid governance through technology. Ours is a 4G service that is not only fast and reliable but a 4G service that works. “I must say that I am very proud of this roll-out because we have put in a lot of work.to ensure that we offer Nigerians a true 4G experience, ” he said.
Airtel users who are interested in the 4G network must first ensure that their devices are 4G enabled, upgrade their current sim cards to a 4G sim through Sim Swap which takes less than three minutes. The upgrade of one’s SIM to a 4G SIM is free and can be done in any Airtel’s retail outlet nationwide.
