The week has come to an end; however, it almost the end of the month. Yip, that’s right in a few days we will be heading into the month of August 2014.

This week in tech, we saw Telkom suspending its attempt to cut a multitude of jobs at the company. Additionally, we saw the launch of the Road Buddy app in South Africa. The app has been designed in order to minimise the amount of accidents involving pedestrians, joggers, motorcyclists and other vulnerable road users.

Airtel was praised by Lagos State Deputy Governor over its Touching Lives Initiative.

Finally, we got to get our hands on the Destiny Beta, which was a rather impressive experience. Have a great weekend from the team at IT News Africa.
