Tarsus Distribution has announced that CEO Emile Burger will step down from his role after leading the company through a period of sustained growth and expansion.

Burger, who previously served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer before being appointed CEO, said the decision was a personal one and comes at a time when the business is performing strongly.

“Leading Tarsus Distribution has been one of the greatest privileges of my career,” said Burger. “The company is in outstanding condition, and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together. Our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to foster innovation, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive sustainable growth.”

He added that after several years of intense focus, he felt it was the right time to take a break before pursuing new opportunities.

During Burger’s tenure, Tarsus Distribution achieved significant revenue growth, expanded into new markets and introduced several new products. The company said his leadership strengthened its market position while fostering a culture focused on collaboration, innovation and employee development.

Alviva Holdings CEO Pierre Spies praised Burger’s contribution to the business, describing him as an exceptional leader.

“Emile is an extraordinary leader, first as CFO and then as CEO. His time at the helm has made a lasting impact on the business. He has navigated the company through both challenges and opportunities with remarkable skill. We accept his decision with deep regret and respect, and he leaves with our full support and best wishes for his future endeavours,” said Spies.

To ensure a smooth leadership transition, the board has appointed Emmanouil Revmatas as interim CEO. Burger will remain with the company during his notice period to support the handover process.

The board has also begun the search for a permanent chief executive who will build on the momentum achieved under Burger’s leadership and continue driving the company’s long-term strategy.

Despite the leadership change, Tarsus Distribution said it remains focused on delivering value to customers, partners and stakeholders while pursuing new opportunities for growth and innovation. The company believes its strong operational foundation positions it well for its next phase of development under new leadership.
