The Canon SA Expo will be held at Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg and open from 10am to 6pm daily. The company has also announced that there will be no entrance fee.

“Never before have we hosted an exclusively Canon exhibition in South Africa. Our expo is an unprecedented opportunity for us to showcase our products under one roof and also give visitors the opportunity to experience them first-hand.”

“We’ve made entrance free because we don’t believe that our existing and potential customers should have to pay to interact with our products on a platform like this,” says Michelle Janse van Vuuren, Marketing Manager at Canon South Africa.

According to van Vuuren, Canon’s usual end-of-year EOS roadshow will be incorporated into the expo on 10 December, giving visitors a chance to learn a few tricks of the trade from professional photographers.

Leading up to the expo in December, Canon will also host a major Photographic Competition which will see over R150 000 worth of prizes being given away, making it one of the biggest and certainly the most creative photographic competitions ever run by Canon South Africa.

  1. As a freelance professonal Canon only user (previously EOS 1D Mk 11 – now 7D) with a full range of Professional lenses and also the Pixma i8500 photo printer, how come I have not been advised about this exhibition or the competition?
