Zain Nigeria has introduced a new tariff plan as part of its commitment to offer telecommunication users in Nigeria, more value and empower them to communicate at affordable rates.
The new plan, a unique pre-paid tariff, ValuMax, offers customers the opportunity to make Zain to Zain calls at a reduced rate of 45k per sec, plus 20 free SMS every month, 50% discount on calls to 10 Family and Friends numbers and over 5hours of free Zain to Zain calls as a 3 months promotional offer, commencing from 13th of July.
According to Mr. Deepak Srivastava, Chief Operating Officer, Zain Nigeria, the new package is a reflection of the company’s resolve to provide Nigerians world-class telecommunications service at affordable rates.
With the introduction of ValuMax tariff, the COO said, telecommunications consumers across the country can now communicate freely with friends, family members, business partners and associates at pocket-friendly rates.
Mr. Srivastava said the unique features of the new package, particularly, the free monthly SMS and over five hours of free Calls daily are designed to help people who could not make as much calls as they wished because of the of the hurdle created by existing tariff in the market.
“We are confident that the new ValuMax package will be highly beneficial to our esteemed customers. Indeed, it is our desire to make our customers happy and increase the value they derive from using their phones and by staying on our network. Zain ValuMax plan is a big win for our old, new and intending pre-paid customers,” said Srivastava.
To enjoy the benefits of the new tariff plan which has also now become the default plan, existing Zain pre-paid customers need to migrate to ValuMax by dialing *444#. New customers only need to acquire and activate a Zain SIM card to have access to the advantages offered by the tariff package.
ValuMax offers customers 45k per seconds for on-net calls; and 25k per seconds to 10 on-net numbers as family and friends. The free night calls will run for a three month period and ends on September, 30th, 2010, as a promotional offer.

That will surely bring to an end the zein's sojourn in Nigeria. Imagine 27 naira per min, when glo is collecting 15 naira flat rate. My zain line hasbeen lying in state and will remain there ad infinitum.
