Geness becomes ITA president

Sunil Geness, Corporate Affairs Executive at SAP

SOFTWARE Application Programme (SAP)’s corporate affairs executive, Sunil Geness has been appointed president of the Information Technology Association (ITA).

According to the acting general manager of the ITA, Nisha Pillay, Geness will be the president of ITA of South Africa, which represents companies that supply information technology equipment, systems software and services to the ICT sector and work closely with government, consumer and other organizations to promote industry best practice.

She said Geness brings a wealth of leadership, management and good governance experience to the ITA board as well as an exceptional network in the Public, Private and NGO environments.

“We are excited about the prospect of the outputs that Geness will drive as we seek to elevate the ITA to greater heights at a local, African and International level,” said Pillay.

Geness joins a panel of board members, including Tebogo Makgatho, Marketing and Sales Director at Torque IT, Mrs Janette Cumming, Director at Paracon, and Mr Vishan Reddy, Account Manager from Dell.
