NOKIA has released a new Nokia N97 software update 2.0 that adds new user experience elements and functionalities to the device.
The standard version of the Nokia N97 software update 2.0 is available immediately through the PC on the Nokia Software Update website.
The Nokia N97 mini will also making its big debut in stores. With its stainless steel cues, the Nokia N97 mini is designed for style-conscious people who are active with social networks.
The device features a tilting 3.2 touch display, QWERTY keyboard and fully customizable homescreen.
The Nokia N97 mini features same software with the Nokia N97 and will be in stores with an estimated retail price of Euro 450 before taxes and subsidies.
“In September 2009, we exceeded two million Nokia N97 devices sold, and now introduce the Nokia N97 mini, underscoring the success of the design,” said Jose-Luis Martinez, vice president, Nokia Nseries .
Nokia is constantly updating and enhancing its devices with new features, functions and fixes so that users can get even more out of their Nokia device even years after buying it.
NOKIA has NOT released a new Nokia N97 software update 2.0. If you are in South Africa you cant download the update and who knows when we will be able to get it cos nokia are saying nothing. They have really messed this one up and made a lot of Nokia fans very unhappy!
With regard to the comment about the firmware for SA N97, it was briefly available for MTN users; though this has since been withdrawn. The firmware upgrade is Product Code specific; though this product code can be changed and the once the update is complete you can revert the product code. Please note though, that the cellphone service providers do not approve of this practice.

I have sent my N97 to nokia care centre 2x for repairs, with it being returned in the same state unusable dead as a fkg doornail, Hate the phone, Nokia has lost my loyalty forever, roll on Apple iPhone – Apple forever (oh by the way they are not a cellular company- but sell more iphones than Nokia and rest combined. BECAUSE THEY WORK FANATASTICALLY

Now I know why customers phone are not being repaired sent back in the unrepaired state , Nokia repairs staff – William – first, then customers. I have sent my N97 back to Nokia they can fkg keep it.
