Nairobi (IT News Africa) -ZAIN Kenya said it expected more subscribers to use its data services owing to reduced costs. Officials added that the company’s coverage had grown immensely in recent months.
“Unlike in the past when data services have largely been used by post-paid customers, we expect the prepaid customers to start actively using our services due to easier accessand reduced costs as a result of the connection to the fibre optic cable,” said Zain kenya managing director Rene Meza in a statement to the media.
“We have ensured that our subscribers can access the internet from all corners of the country since we have a wide network coverage which currently reaches 88 per cent of the population.” he said.
Meza’s comments come a month after the company announced a 25 percent reduction in internet access costs for the unlimited internet package, a move Zain Kenya said will enable it grow its market base.
The company is one of a handful of network services providers in a highly competitive mobile network industry in the East African country.

Zain Kenya says it expects more subscribers?-
I would request them to improve on their services first!
I have a unlimited package from them but almost all the time the speed is so slow that one has to wait for hours even before a page can open????????
Its really very frustrating!
