Pastel launches online personal finance tool for SA users

Accounting software services provider, Pastel, has introduced a new online service offering to South African consumers, simplifying personal financial management.

The new product is called Incheck, and promises to give consumers online access to a tool that both manages their finances through an easy-to-use interface, and conforms to South African standards and regulations. The company said that the product was a natural extension of the company’s strategy of taking users in South Africa beyond accounting.

Says Nils Woxholt, Pastel e-business divisional director: “There are personal finance management products out there that are based on the American banking system and so South Africans find them frustrating to use,”

“We set out to design a tool that was aligned with South African financial services regulations and South African banking practices and would, therefore, be comfortably familiar for local users.”

InCheck allows users to view all their personal financial information on a single page, via a single sign-in. This eliminates the time and complexity of accessing separate sets of details at different financial institutions, by aggregating all information into a single resource.

Use of the application will cost around ZAR10 per month, and it can be found at www.pastelincheck.co.za .
