MasterCard Multi-currency passport App launches in SA

MasterCard has launched the MasterCard Multi-currency Cash Passport mobile app in South Africa. The app aims to provide Multi-currency Cash Passport cardholders with an easier platform when managing their account’s.

According to MasterCard and Access Prepaid Worldwide, the app is available on Apple and Android operating systems. When accessing the app, it allows for money transfers between purses. Additionally it allows for reviewing of transactions, and the ability to track their spending.

The Multi-currency Cash Passport can be loaded with currency before departure, and while travelling, with one or more of the four available currencies including US Dollars, Great British Pounds, Euros, and Australian Dollars. The cardholder can use the card to pay for goods and services at millions of merchant locations or withdraw cash from ATMs wherever the MasterCard Acceptance Mark is displayed.

The Multi-currency Cash Passport is available from participating ABSA, FNB and American Express Foreign Exchange branches.
