Strategic Alliance Links East Africa’s Digital Hubs With Africa-Wide Data Centre Platform

Wingu Africa, a leading developer of carrier-neutral Tier III data centres in East Africa, has entered a strategic partnership with Africa Data Centres (ADC), the continent’s largest interconnected data centre network. The collaboration links Wingu Africa’s facilities in Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Tanzania with ADC’s extensive footprint across South, West, and Central Africa, creating a seamless platform that enhances cross-regional digital connectivity and capacity.

The agreement establishes mutual advantages for both organisations while delivering a unified digital ecosystem for enterprises, hyperscalers, cloud service providers, and content networks operating across the continent. By interconnecting their platforms, Wingu Africa and ADC are enabling customers to scale securely, reliably, and efficiently across several of Africa’s most strategically important markets—without the operational friction of managing multiple providers or infrastructure silos.

For Wingu Africa, this partnership marks a significant evolution from regional specialist to continental player. The move extends service reach into seven additional African markets through ADC’s infrastructure, simplifying geographic expansion for customers and supporting new business opportunities. At the same time, ADC deepens its presence in East Africa, gaining seamless access to three high-growth markets: Djibouti, a critical global subsea cable hub; Ethiopia, with its rapidly accelerating digital transformation; and Tanzania, one of the region’s fastest-growing cloud and mobile services economies.
