WWE WrestleFest available on iPad

THQ has announced the release of WWE WrestleFest, a faithfully recreated 2D experience for iPhone and iPad, based on the popular WWE arcade game released in the 1990s.

Complete with the current and legendary WWE Superstars roster, downloadable content, Road to WrestleMania progression play and multiplayer functionality, WWE WrestleFest is available now through Apple’s App Store for R 24.99 (iPhone) and R 29.99 (iPad).

THQ also announced WWE WrestleFest is in development for additional platforms, including Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360, PlayStation Network for the PlayStation3, Android and PC currently scheduled for release within the year.

“WWE WrestleFest greatly complements our WWE videogames portfolio by delivering a unique and captivating way for fans to connect with the virtual WWE experience,” Danny Bilson, Core Games Executive Vice President, said.

“The game’s arcade-style play, combined with present day WWE content and hints of nostalgia, is a perfect fit for handheld platforms like the iPhone and iPad.”
