Rugged mid-range smartphone launches in South Africa

On Monday, 29 July 2019, it was announced that the Energizer HardCase H550S is coming to South Africa. This comes just after the device won the prize for the Best Rugged Smartphone 2019 at the Mobile News Awards. 

As the flagship device, the HardCase H550S — retailing from $540 — aims to establish a local footprint for Energizer mobile phones by offering an award-winning device that’s designed to withstand the most intense usage. The smartphone is waterproof, shock resistant and comes with NFC and dual sim capabilities.

Another impressive feature is the 4000mAh battery with fast charge that has allows up to 26-hour call time, 8 hours of video. It can also turn into a powerbank and share its energy with another compatible phone.
