The Huawei Y6 Prime 2019 is set to be the Chinese device maker’s second budget smartphone to be launched in the country this year, after the launch of another Y-series smartphone, the Huawei Y7 Prime 2019.
When it launches next week, the Huawei Y6 Prime 2019 will become the company’s 5th Y-series smartphone to be officially made available locally.
Huawei has launched the Y9 2019, Y5 Lite 2018, Y3 2018 and, recently, Y7 2019 all within the last 6 months, underscoring the importance of the budget Y-series smartphones to the company as well as the company’s strategic approach to the country’s price-sensitive phone market.
Huawei has also partnered with Lipa Later to offer a credit facility that lets customers pay for the device of their choice then pay monthly for the Huawei Y6 2019 smartphone.
Like the Y7 Prime 2019, the Y6 Prime 2019 features a teardrop/dewdrop notch at the top as well as the same sleek design that we have come to expect from Huawei’s budget devices since last year, in addition to being almost similar in size to the former.
Purchases will come with a gift hamper containing a selfie stick, foldable bags and Bluetooth speakers or mugs in selected stores.
