SAP Africa has been confirmed as the Platinum Sponsor for the second edition of the Internet of Things Forum Africa (#IOTFA2018).

According to SAP Global Head of IoT Nils Herzberg, this year will see African business invest in digital transformation initiatives to enable their journey toward becoming exponential organisations. “IoT and other emerging technologies such as machine learning and blockchain are set to revolutionise the way businesses innovate and operate on the African continent.

As the discussion around these technologies move from the drawing board to the boardroom, it’s an opportune time for all stakeholders to come together and share knowledge and insight into how businesses can realise an exponential future.”

The event will tackle transformational IoT trends and explore the benefits of IoT in key industries. IOTFA 2018 will see over 500 delegates and 30 speakers made up of thought leaders, visionaries and experts, converge on 14 and 15 March 2018 at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg, to share their profound knowledge of real-world IoT trends, challenges and solutions.

IoT Forum Africa 2018 will also feature industry tracks with speakers discussing the potential impact of IoT in manufacturing, energy, finance, transportation, retail, security, mining and in government. During these sessions, there will be in-depth discussions on business growth opportunities with insights on IoT disruption and innovation in key industries.

Under the theme, “Powering a new era of operational transformation“, IOTFA2018 offers a platform for organisations to present their IoT solutions and brings together ecosystem-wide attendees, stakeholders and investors. Internet of Things Forum Africa will provide a unique opportunity to meet key players in the IoT marketplace.
