Gregg Petersen, Regional Director for Middle East and SAARC from Veeam Software, the innovative provider of solutions that deliver Availability for the Always-On Enterprise, has revealed the appointment of Claude Schuck as the new regional manager for Africa.
With a 60 percent increase in the number of new partners in South Africa in Q1 2016 Schuck joins Veeam at a time when the company is looking to pursue growth and strengthen its channel market in not only South Africa but the rest of the continent as well. As an IT industry veteran with more than 20 years’ experience, Schuck will spearhead this drive with his extensive expertise in the channel.
In his previous role, Schuck was channel manager at EMC Southern Africa. Prior to that role he was the head of the Dell Large Enterprise business unit for South Africa.
“This is an important appointment for Veeam as it sends a clear message that we are growing our business in Africa to meet the immense opportunity the continent has to offer. Claude Schuck is a highly experienced executive with significant credibility in the market. His ability to run large teams and highly complex channel projects positions him well to expand Veeam across Africa,” said Petersen.
“Veeam’s message of Always-On Availability positions us for the rapidly changing digital world of business and Veeam to help take enterprises out of their legacy environments,” said Schuck.
Claude Schuck sees Veeam as a disruptive organisation that will help customers address the Always-On Enterprise requirements of a highly competitive market.
“The business demands of the digital world have changed the way decision-makers approach their technology solutions. IT has permeated every facet of the organisation and requires enabling solutions to help meet the expectations of being Always-On. In South Africa, the cloud will help drive this but a business needs a partner it can trust and who takes the time to understand its core strategy. Veeam has always excelled at this and I look forward to driving even more momentum across Africa,” concluded Schuck.
