Avaya has revealed strategic initiatives for its customers and partners in South Africa, which according to the company, have been designed to help them accelerate their digital transformation strategies and deliver growth.
At an exclusive Avaya event in Johannesburg, Avaya executives outlined how the company is breaking new ground in the country, bringing solutions and services customized to the needs of South African business customers, combined with a revamped channel approach.
Speaking at the Avaya Engages event in South Africa, Hatem Hariri, Managing Director, Avaya Africa, outlined how the company has successfully transitioned to software and services, which constituted 73% of global revenue for the fiscal first quarter, with half of all sales coming from new and cloud-enabled technologies. Avaya is seeing the strongest demand for solutions based on an OPEX model, with its managed services business posting year-on-year growth of 16%, as enterprises increasingly look to cloud-based deployments.
Danny Drew, Managing Director, Avaya South Africa, highlighted the company’s successful transformation in the country over the past six months, with the appointment of vertical-focused Avaya executives to drive expertise, and strategic partnerships with existing and new distribution and channel partners, helping to take Avaya’s digital transformation strategy forward. Avaya’s customer-centric approach, investment in new technologies, and stronger focus on channel enablement and support, have boosted global customer satisfaction results to a record high – reaching 73% in Q1, exceeding industry competitors and approaching world class levels.
With digital transformation topping the corporate agenda for organizations in South Africa, and CIOs facing budget constraints in challenging market conditions, Avaya is helping to remove the uncertainty caused by digital disruption, with solutions designed to help businesses improve operational excellence, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive greater competitive differentiation. As the only company specializing in complex business communications, built on open and mobile software platforms and supported by a robust underlying networking infrastructure, Avaya is uniquely placed to help drive customers’ digital transformation strategies.
At the event Danny Drew, Managing Director, Avaya South Africa stated that: “As public and private-sector organizations in South Africa press ahead with their digital transformation strategies, we are bringing customized solutions that accelerate the journey towards the digital world. Rather than the “one-size-fits-all” approach that many vendors take in the market today, we help organizations create unique solutions that personalize customer and employee engagement, delivering differentiated experiences every time.”
