Sony counters Xbox One launch in SA

Ster Kinekor Entertainment has countered the launch of Microsoft’s Xbox One console in South Africa by introducing two new exclusive deals. The company revealed that as of this week consumers can now purchase a PlayStation 4 for R6,299.99 as well as receive a copy of The Last of Us Remastered for free. The offer is expected to end on Sunday 5 October, 2014.

In addition to this, Ster Kinekor has revealed that consumers will also be able to purchase a PlayStation 4 with a free copy of FIFA 15 for R6,299.99 when the game officially launches in South Africa on Friday, 26th September 2014. According to Sony, the offer ends Friday, 3rd October 2014.


The PlayStation 4 originally launched on the 13th of December, 2013. The console has gained a phenomenal amount of traction across South Africa.
