This week in tech has been especially exceptional not only is tech booming across Africa, but the continent also came in strong as Huawei revealed its GCI findings at the 2014 Huawei World Congress. Reporting straight out of China, at the event, we also witnessed as Huawei unveiled future tech which is set to drive the future of the industry.
While the 2014 Huawei World Congress has definitely been a major highlight this week, we also managed to capture some great images of the Huawei Cloud Congress Showcase Expo.
Also making the headlines this week was Vodacom. Vodacom revealed that it will be rolling out its Fibre To The Business (FTTB) service in Africa. Vox Telecom also graced the headlines this week, as the company revealed that it has now acquired Dynamic IT.

Africa comes in strong as Huawei reveals GCI findings
At the 2014 Huawei Cloud Congress Huawei revealed its Global Connectivity (GCI) findings. With findings from 25 developing and emerging countries that account for 78% of global GDP and 68% of population, and 10 industries, including finance, manufacturing, education, transportation and logistics, the report is, according to Huawei, the first quantitative assessment of connectivity and its value from both national and industrial perspectives.
