Telecel adds free data to Mega Juice card

Zimbabwe’s second largest mobile network provider, Telecel, has added a dollar’s worth of free data to its one dollar Mega Juice airtime card, which already carries a dollar’s bonus airtime.

This means that for one dollar, a Mega Juice card gives one dollar’s ordinary airtime, one dollar’s bonus airtime and one dollar’s worth of data, which amounts to 10 megabytes of data.

“We hope that customers with data-capable handsets will find the Mega Juice bonus data, which has been added to the Mega Juice bonus airtime, useful,” a Telecel spokesperson said.

The introduction of free data as part of the Mega Juice card package coincides with a change in the way in which Mega Juice bonus airtime is accessed.

Telecel has also introduced higher denomination $10 and $20 standard recharge cards with long window periods. It has increased the window periods of some of its lower denomination cards.

“We are sure the higher denomination airtime recharge cards will be welcomed by many of our customers as well. With a 180 window day period, use of the higher denomination card will prevent the need for frequent top ups,” the spokesperson said.
