The 2nd IT Leaders Africa Summit lauded

The 2nd edition of the popular IT Leaders Africa Summit was hosted on the 10th and 11th March at the Hilton Hotel in Sandton in front of packed audience comprising CIOs and IT Heads from all major industries across South Africa.

The summit focused on IT as a business function addressing key issues such Enterprise Mobility, IT Governance and delivering value to the business through IT while coping with Africa’s Infrastructure demands and hindrances.

It was clear from the onset that discussion, innovation and open dialogue was top priority at the summit that attracted over 200 of South Africa’s IT Leaders. “From a Telkom Business perspective, we felt that the IT leaders Summit as a platform benefitted both our customers and our business. It was a great place to have focused discussions on future IT trends and opportunities for business. The breakaway sessions set the scene for some challenging debate and engagement for business and customers,” said Mala Suriah, Strategic Marketing Executive, Telkom Business.

“I found this year’s summit to be very informative as the content and discussion topics were very current and relative. I also enjoyed networking with some of the industries key decision makers and IT Leaders – Great conference,” Wayne D’sa, Regional Sales Manager, MTN Business.

Seaparo Phala, the CIO of for the Department of Arts and Culture had the following to say: “The event provided one with a glimpse into current technologies and solutions that can be used innovatively to improve business performance. I also picked up some pointers on technology trends and challenges faced by CIOs in alternate environments.”
