Raouf Chkir, CEO of Tunisie Telecom has submitted his resignation from his post. He had replaced, only a few weeks ago, Montasser Ouaili who had also resigned earlier this year.

Chekir had previously served among others as CEO of the National Broadcasting Corporation.

It comes as the country continues to attempt to put itself back together after protests in January forced out the government and signaled a new era in Tunisian politics. The telecom sector has not avoided some chaos.

Tunisie Telecom has faced an uphill battle in the past few months as violence continues to rock the country and the network has seen trouble in pulling itself back together.
