Line-up for Mobile World Congress 2010 announced

A strong line-up of IT presenters has been named for this year’s Mobile World Congress.
Among the speakers include Ben Verwaayen, Chief Executive Officer for Alcatel-Lucent, Hans Vestberg, President and CEO for Ericsson, Eric Schmidt, Chairman and CEO for Google and Vittorio Colao, Chief Executive, Vodafone respectively.

Also included are Chang Xiaobing, Chairman and CEO, China Unicom, Guo Ping, Chairman, Huawei Communications.


“The Mobile World Congress reflects the broadening communications ecosystem and the CEOs taking the stage at this year’s event will offer a unique view of the new mobile landscape, sharing perspectives and insights that serve to strengthen and advance the industry,” organizers said in a
statement.

Organizers said the Mobile World Congress agenda for 2010 will also include more than two dozen conference sessions covering a range of technology and business topics, featuring industry experts from around the globe.

“In addition to the conference keynotes, the GSMA is excited to announce the launch of App Planet! This is an “event within an event” at Mobile World Congress 2010 that will present a unique opportunity to explore the many dimensions of the dynamic and critically important mobile
applications market.

Africa is regarded as the fastest growing telecommunications industry in the developing world.
