Motorola adds WiMAX charm to its wireless broadband solutions

Motorola’s Home & Networks Mobility business increased its point-to-multipoint (PMP) wireless broadband portfolio with PMP 320 wireless broadband solution, based on WiMAX technology.

The new PMP 320 wireless broadband solution offers service providers and enterprises high throughput and licensed 802.16e WiMAX interoperability for fixed outdoor solutions.

PMP 320 fixed licensed outdoor access solution promises fast, cost-effective and secure connectivity, suitable for enterprises and government applications and can be co-located with existing PMP wireless broadband networks. Installation proves to be quick and simple for PMP 320, featuring all-outdoor integrated radios and standards-based servers and no additional gateways, routers or servers, a lower cost and time effective solution for its customers.

Motorola’s wireless network solutions include indoor wireless LAN, outdoor wireless mesh, point-to-multipoint, point-to-point networks and voice-over-WLAN solutions.
