Motorola results out Thursday

Johannesburg (IT News Africa) — MOTOROLA has set Thursday as the date for the release of its second quarter 2009 financial results.
“The second-quarter results are scheduled to be issued at approximately 6:00 a.m. Central Time (USA) on Thursday, July 30. Motorola will host its quarterly conference call with financial analysts following the earnings release at 7:00 a.m. Central Time (USA) on July 30. The conference call
will be webcast live with audio and slides at www.motorola.com/investor. A replay of the conference call will be available over the Internet at www.motorola.com/investor approximately three hours after the call has been completed,” the company said in statement.

Early this year, Motorola experienced significant difficulties but it had a solid first quarter.
It said it expected worldwide sales of iDEN handsets to be up 50 per cent in 2009 compared with 2008.
Motorola had sales of US $30.1 billion in 2008.
