
Operators have decided to open their doors to enable more Nigerians have access , seeing that most Nigerians use pre-paid rather then post paid services.
Zain has recently unveiled a pre-paid roaming service that will connect Nigerians who are travelling abroad to their loved ones. Zain is offering a data roaming service that will help subscribers send or receive text messages when they are in the United States of America, United Kingdom, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, the United Arab Emirate, Sri Lanka, Gabon, Senegal and Kuwait. A partnership agreement between Zain and several mobile networks in several countries of the world like Cingular in the USA, Cincinnati Bell Wireless, USA, Orange in the United Kingdom, DU of UAE, Vodacom in South Africa, Tigo (Millicom) of Ghana, Celtel Gabon, Uganda and Celtel Kenya.
Norman Moyo, chief Marketing Officer said the beginning of GPRS opens Zain’s customers to a new opportunities and possibilities. Zain’s data service will enable its subscribers to access and reply electronic mails, news, and statistics on their phones while in other parts of the world.
These ideas unveiled by the Zain will make for better communication for Nigerians while abroad. This will help family, social and business relationships grow when you at home or out of the country.
