Microsoft appointed Emmanuel Onyeje, to be the new country manager in Nigeria.
Emmanuel will be replacing Chinenye Mba-Uzoukwu who left the company to pursue personal interests. Emmanuel will take over responsibility of Microsoft’s commercial activities in Nigeria and citizenship initiatives. Emmanuel will also be responsible for Microsoft’s business in Gambia, Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
He will be expected to work closely with Thomas Hansen Microsoft’s manager for West, East and Central Africa, to help achieve the company’s objectives for the company.
Emmanuel has 12 years of experience working in the country’s technology sector. He previously was general manager for Microsoft West and central Africa and he also held positions as the service manager for the company in Nigeria.
“Microsoft Nigeria has been steadily building its team for the past two years and I believe that we are now nearing full strength. My aim is to build on this success, working alongside a talented and dedicated team,” Said Emmanuel.
Emmanuel believes that with Microsoft’s strong technology and advanced roadmap, skilled people they employ will help Nigerian businesses realize their potential, local organizations and consumers can benefit from accessible and locally-relevant technologies.
Microsoft Nigeria is known to be one of the largest and best known businesses in the country. It helps build the local IT economy and helps customers improve their output and their profit.
