Bayo says that Zain has lost two generators across the country over the past two weeks.

from Niger Zain a GSM service provider across the country.
Bayo who spoke to media conferences said the service providers have become worried by the increasing trend of equipment theft. He stated that outside the conflict in places like Somalia, vandalism is the greatest threat to the organization; it is costing Zain in resources and inconvenience to consumers.
Bayo goes on to say that the company has now relied on the assistance from soldiers who are employed at some base stations. He asked that Nigerians think of ways to support the government to improve security as service providers can not protect their equipment and installations all over the country.
He assured Nigerians that many opportunities would come their way under the new name; the cost of operations will begin to go down as they negotiate better and pay less for equipment and other resources. He believes that the company’s speed to market will increase significantly and more funds will be available for expansion of the operations in terms of coverage, capacity and quality.
