Asus appoints distributor to push Nigeria presence

Global PC manufacturer Asus is reported to have entered into a partnership with distributor Mitsumi to up its presence in Nigeria.

The alliance is said to have been forged to offer users in Nigeria access to product and expose both parties to opportunities.

Serge P. Nabyoure, Asus country manager, Nigeria, last week unveiled two new products, the Asus Fonepad 7 and Asus Transformer Book T100 tablets, and said the Company’s expansion into Nigeria would extend the brand into the Continent.

Benefits, including longer battery life and a competitive price point for consumers, have been identified.

Mitsumi Nigeria’s country manager Rohit Banerjee echoed the sentiment expressed by Nabyoure and said the partnership with Asus is an effort to increase its presence in the West African country.
