FOUR major companies have joined forces to improve education through technology.
Intel, Mustek, Learnthings Africa and eTV breakfast show Sunrise will launch a Sunrise Best School campaign on 7 September in South Africa, as part of their joint corporate social investment initiative towards fostering a 21st century skills empowered generation.
According to Inass Farouk, Emerging platforms manager at Intel, technology is crucial in the lives of both students and teachers in ensuring that they obtain advanced skills and operate and succeed in the innovation economy.
“Individuals at all levels deserve to have the technological skills they need to become the next generation of innovators,” Farouk said.
The campaign launch which will be live on the eTV Sunrise breakfast show is an initiative that will highlight achievements made by some of the schools despite various challenges.
The main objective of the series will be to challenge companies to adopt a school in their respective areas and change lives.
