Accel-KKR appoints Tim Sherwin, ex-CEO of Cardinal Commerce, to Entersekt’s board. Entersekt offers digital banking fraud prevention globally.

Sherwin, former CEO and Co-founder of Cardinal Commerce, led the company to a successful acquisition by Visa, Inc. in 2016. He brings his expertise in payment fraud prevention to the Entersekt board, supporting the company’s introduction of advanced digital banking and payment authentication solutions. This appointment coincides with Entersekt’s acquisition of Modirum 3D Secure solutions in December 2023. With over 2.5 billion secured transactions annually, Entersekt now holds a significant global presence and technological advantage in digital, payment, and data channels for issuers, acquirers, and merchants.

“We warmly welcome Tim to the Entersekt board,” says Managing Director at Accel-KKR. Joe Porten

“Entersekt is pursuing an ambitious growth and expansion strategy, and Tim’s extensive experience leading a highly successful company in the fintech space aligns perfectly with our goals.” added Porten

“Having firsthand experience in the payments sector, I’ve witnessed the rise of financial fraud and understand what financial institutions require to safeguard themselves and their clients. Entersekt’s solutions directly address these needs,” remarks Sherwin. “I’ve been impressed by the company’s innovative technologies, strategic partnerships, and robust executive leadership, and I eagerly anticipate contributing to Entersekt’s next phase of growth.”

“Entersekt’s solutions cater to the pressing market demands of financial institutions globally, particularly in digital banking fraud prevention and payment security,” notes Schalk Nolte, CEO of Entersekt. “The addition of a seasoned industry expert like Tim Sherwin to our board will provide invaluable guidance on how to capitalize on forthcoming market opportunities.”
