Spotify has introduced a new way for podcasters to use timestamps. The audio-streaming platform revealed that users can include timestamps in episode descriptions so listeners can start playing from precise moments.
They can be used in any of the following formats:
(m:ss); (mm:ss); (mmm:ss); (h:mm:ss); (hh:mm:ss); or (hhh:mm:ss).
For example:
(10:20) – will automatically link to 10 minutes and 20 seconds into an episode.

Spotify Expands to 80 New Markets, Including Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania
Spotify is set to expand its streaming subscription service to 80+ new markets across the globe – this move represents Spotify’s broadest market expansion to date. Founder and CEO, Daniel Ek revealed that the platform would now be available to more than a billion people in over 36 languages.
New markets include:
