On Thursday, 5 September 2019, healthcare decision-makers and expert Technologists alike gathered at the Saxon Hotel for the Healthcare Innovation Summit breakfast.
The event hosted by IT News Africa in partnership with Dimension Data and Avaya was not only a platform where innovators could share their thoughts and ideas on the latest healthcare solutions and discuss trends in the industry but also allow healthcare practitioners to network and ask burning questions.
A line up of key industry players unpacked topics including providing better, more personalised care to patients, managing the patient journey end-to-end and the principles and philosophies of healthcare digital transformation.
Key speakers included Craig Stewart, South East Africa Regional Executive at Dimension Data; Markus Bornheim, International Practice Lead of Public Safety and Emergency Services at Avaya; Dave O’Shaughnessy, International Practice Lead of Healthcare Solutions at Avaya; and Valter Adao, Chief Digital and Innovation Officer and Deloitte Africa.
The event featured an emergency services live demo delivered by Dave O’Shaughnessy, International Practice Lead – Healthcare Solutions from Avaya.
As well as an interactive panel session including where delegates and speakers had the opportunity to discuss challenges, trends and solutions in the healthcare sector.
The breakfast acted as a pre-engagement for Healthcare professionals ahead of the 5th Healthcare Innovation Summit Africa (HISA) to take place on 8th and 9th October 2019 at the Gallagher convention centre in Johannesburg.
