On 19 August 2019, Nintendo held a live-stream titled Indie World Showcase on its official YouTube channel. The live-stream showcased upcoming Indie games that will launch on the Nintendo Switch in the coming months. Below is the list of games that were announced and a brief description of each of them. All of these games are set for release on the Nintendo Switch consoles.
- Risk of Rain 2: Risk of Rain 2 is developed by Hopoo Games and published by Gearbox Publishing, and is set for release in Summer 2019.
- Eastward: Eastward is developed by Pixpil and published by Chucklefish, and is set for release sometime in 2020.
- Freedom Finger: Freedom Finger is developed and published by Wide Right Interactive, and is set for release in Fall 2019.
- Röki: Röki is developed by Polygon Treehouse and published by United Label, and is set for release in Winter 2019.
- Torchlight II: Torchlight II for the Nintendo Switch is developed by Runic Games in collaboration with Panic Button and published by Perfect World Entertainment, and is set for release on 3 September 2019.
- Skater XL: Skater XL is developed and published by Easy Day Studios Pty Ltd, and is set for release sometime in 2020.
- Youropa: Youropa is developed and published by frecle, and is set for release in Winter 2019.
- SUPERHOT: SUPERHOT is developed and published by SUPERHOT Team, and is set for release on 19 August 2019.
- Dungeon Defenders: Awakened: Dungeon Defenders: Awakened is developed and published by Chromatic Games, and is set for release in February 2020.
- THE TOURYST: THE TOURYST is developed and published by Shin’en, and is set for release in November 2019.
- Skellboy: Skellboy is developed by Umaiki Games and published by Fabraz, and is set for release on 3 November 2019.
- EarthNight: EarthNight is developed and published by Cleaversoft, and is set for release sometime in 2019.
- Hotline Miami Collection: Hotline Miami Collection is developed by Dennaton Games and Published by Devolver Digital.
- Blasphemous: Blasphemous is developed by The Game Kitchen and published by Team17 Digital Ltd, and is set for release on 26 September 2019.
- Close to the Sun: Close to the Sun is developed by Storm in a Teacup and published by Wired Productions and is set for release sometime in 2019.
- Cat Quest II: Cat Quest II is developed by The Gentlebros and published by PQube Limited and is set for release in Fall 2019.
- Spiritfarer: Spiritfarer is developed and published by Thunder Lotus and is set for release in Spring 2020.
- Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince: Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is developed by Frozenbyte and published by Modus Games, and set for release on 8 October 2019.
- Creature in the Well: Creature in the Well is developed and published by Flight School Studio and set for release on 6 September 2019.
- One Finger Death Punch 2: One Finger Death Punch 2 is developed and published by Silver Dollar Games and is set for release on 2 December 2019.
- Best Friend Forever: Best Friend Forever is developed by Starcolt and published by Alliance, and is set for release on 14 February 2020.
- PHOGS!: PHOGS! is developed by Bit Loom Games and published by Coatsink, and is set for release in early 2020.
- WHAT THE GOLF?: WHAT THE GOLF? is developed and published by Triband and is set for release in Winter 2019.
- KINE: KINE is developed by Gwen Frey and published by Chump Squad, and is set for release sometime in 2019.
- HYPERCHARGE: Unboxed: HYPERCHARGE: Unboxed is developed and published by Digital Cyber Cherries Lts and is set for release in Winter 2019.
- Northgard: Northgard is developed and published by Shiro Games and is set for release on 26 September 2019.
- SPARKLITE: SPARKLITE is developed by Red Blue Games and published by Merge Games Ltd, and is set for release in Fall 2019.
- Munchkin: Quacked Quest: Munchkin: Quacked Quest is developed by Lucky Hammer and published by Asmodee Digital, and is set for release in Fall 2019.
