Soweto to host the first ever CS:GO esports Exhibition Match

The Ekasi Tech Fest and Gaming Expo is set to take place in Soweto from the 18-20 October 2018, at Dlamini Multipurpose Centre. The event’s name has been shortened to Ekasi Tech Fest but it still seems packed with stuff to see and do, especially if you’re a fan of eSports.

For the first time the event will host Soweto’s first eSports, Counter Strike Global Offensive Exhibition Match, between Ekasi eSports Vs Goliath Gaming, on the 20th October 2018.

The event will also host Soweto eSports Community Cup Finals for FIFA and Tekken 7 Finals. Where a FIFA & Tekken Gauteng Province Champion will be crowned.

Over the course of three days, the festival will host a number of platforms including the Gauteng Gaming Community Cup Final, interactive Panel Discussions and Exhibitions. The event will provide Indie Game Developers with the opportunity to present their games and stand a chance to get incubated by Maxum Digital.

Founded by the Soweto based i-Village Foundation, the eKasi Tech Fest has the key objective to bridge the digital divide and enable township communities to participate in the 4th Industrial Revolution to ensure sustainable development.

Entrepreneurs, students, gamers and the general public are invited to come and be exposed to the latest technology developments, at no cost.

Sponsorship and Exhibition opportunities are available on request.
