MTN Ghana has stated that its Mobile Money services will be suspended from Friday October 16, 2015 to Sunday October 18, 2015.

According to MTN Ghana this is due to upgrades to the service, which will essentially enable greater stability and flexibility. The upgrade to the Ericsson Converged Wallet solution is in line with MTN’s renewed focus on creating a distinct customer experience for customers.

Head of MTN Mobile Money Commercial, Eli Hini said: “Indeed it’s a new world and MTN is leading the delivery of a bold new digital world as promised. This upgrade will improve the way transactions are done and it will also reaffirm MTN’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.” This is according to a report via News Ghana.

“We regret that in order to achieve full implementation of the upgrade we will have to interrupt Mobile Money services temporarily. We are confident that the enhanced platform will ultimately make up for the inconvenience and we hope customers will bear with us.”

All Mobile Money services will be restored by 6am on Monday October 19, 2015.
