Microsoft has revealed two new low-end spec Lumia smartphones. The devices revealed include the Lumia 435 and Lumia 532, which have been geared towards selected markets in Europe, APAC and IMEA. According to Microsoft, the devices will be available during the course of February, 2015.
As a standard, both device will run Windows Phone 8.1 as well as be available in bright green, bright orange, white and black, and will be available in single – and dual-SIM variants.
According to Microsoft, the Lumia 435 is the first 400 series Lumia smartphone. The Lumia 435 smartphone is powered by a Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor. Additionally, it has 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage and can hold up to 128 GB of expandable storage space with a MicroSD card. The Lumia 435 also has 4-inch WVGA LCD screen with 800×480 resolution, 2 megapixel back camera, VGA front camera, FM radio and 1,560 mAh removable battery.
While similar to the Lumia 435, the Lumia 532 features a faster Quad-Core processor as well as a 5 megapixel camera with 30 fps video recording functionality.
According to Microsoft, pricing will vary by market and operator, but is estimated to be around 69 euros (81 USD) before taxes and subsidies for Lumia 435 and around 79 euros (92 USD) before taxes and subsidies for Lumia 532.
