iSAT Africa extends East Africa satellite broadband coverage

Avanti Communications has revealed a new multi-year contract with African service provider, iSAT. iSAT will deliver satellite broadband services across Kenya and Tanzania. Deployed via Avanti’s HYLAS 2 satellite, the service is expected to target consumer and enterprise customers.

Richard Alden, CEO at Wananchi Group, commented: “Our partnership with Avanti will enable us to deliver flexible, rapidly deployable and scalable satellite broadband solutions to our demanding customer base. Its proven Ka-band technology will support a diverse set of iSAT applications. We look forward to imminent rollout across East Africa.”


David Williams, Chief Executive at Avanti Communications, commented: “We are delighted to partner with iSAT to bring satellite broadband to their East African customers.
