Activision’s most-popular shooter franchise Modern Warfare will be porting the third game to the Nintendo Wii, releasing alongside the already announced PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions.
Activision is only releasing the game on the Wii as to not make anybody feel left out. The game has famously been competing with Electronic Art’s Battlefield franchise for gamers.
“Publishing exec Eric Hirshberg made the announcement during an investor call today, explaining it’s releasing the game on Nintendo’s system ‘so as not to leave any of the community out of the excitement’,” Eurogamer wrote.
Although developer Treyarch made the Wii versions of both Black Ops and Modern Warfare, its still unclear as to who will be responsible for the port.
