Clive Brindley, new Software Channel Manager for HP South Africa

Hewlett-Packard has appointed Clive Brindley as the new Software Channel Manager for HP South Africa, effective 1 August 2011.

Brindley joined HP in 2007 and previously served as a Solution Architect and Pre-Sales Manager in the Business Technology Optimisation (BTO) business unit within HP Software.

He takes over in his new role from Norbert Gachet, the incumbent Software Channel manager, who will be leaving HP at the end of July 2011 to pursue other opportunities.

“In line with HP’s strategy to create new opportunities for staff, Clive has been selected to take over the responsibility of the Software Channel business in South Africa. His excellent track record with customers and partners, his passion for technology and the direct effect it has on people’s lives makes him a perfect fit for this role,” says Praveen Govender, Country Manager, HP Software South Africa.

“I have been working closely with the partner community for the past four years and for me this is a natural evolution from my current role, albeit now in a more official capacity. Brindley has worked within the ICT infrastructure management domain for over fifteen years, focusing on delivering service management solutions to customers worldwide. Pivotal to the core of Brindley’s ICT knowledge and experience is the seven years that he worked within the European market. His experience spans from solution design to quality management at leading enterprise management software providers. The most impactful role to date was as a solutions architect on one of the world’s largest global outsourcing initiatives.

Brindley has gained various industry accreditations, ranging from BS7799 lead auditor (BSi) to ITIL v3 expert (Service Manager) qualifications.
