3D technology, especially in televisions, has seen a huge increase in popularity and accessibility in the last year or so. In light of those developments, Sony has unveiled the details for a PlayStation-branded 3D television.
The television will feature a 24 inch screen, and will introduce new technology that will enable two players (or viewers) to use the screen at the same time, producing two different images for each – instead of make use of a split-screen.
Working together with the television, Sony also announced details of PlayStation-branded 3D glasses. Bundled together, the PlayStation 3D TV, PlayStation glasses, six-foot HDMI cable and a copy of Resistance 3 will cost $499, while the glasses alone will be $69.99.
