Twelve vacation apps for BlackBerry


Summer holiday means long days, warm nights, and lots of travelling. With the latest smartphones becoming cheaper and more accessible, the number of downloadable applications (or ‘apps’ as they are called) which can be used to to help us plan our holidays has exploded in the last year.

There are now thousands of apps available – everything from boredom-beating games to news services and flight trackers – and most are either free or inexpensive. To make your vacation more enjoyable we have selected a dozen of our favourite vacation apps for your BlackBerry smartphone.

1. Nav4All

  1. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
