With the new technology, CISCO Business Development Manager, Borderless Networks Lead Africa, Mr. Ahmed Etman, said business owners can now be sure of communicating with their employees and business partners at home, while on the go, in the office or even on overseas trips using CISCO telepresence technology.
“Today, end users mandate producers to provide them devices they are comfortable with. This shows that users are now driving the market in the changing world. And as far as we are concerned, CISCO will not be left behind this moving train of change,” declared Ahmed.
According to him, the overall idea behind CISCO borderless Architecture is to engender collaboration among people and to enhance efficiency and productivity.
“We are enabling technology that would allow interactivity not just in the work place but also in the totality of peoples’ way of life,”he added.
Also speaking, CISCO Business Development Manager, Emerging Africa, Bola Adegbonmire said the new CISCO technology would change the way they do business.
She regretted that the adoption of the technology had been slowed down by poor broadband penetration in Nigeria, but revealed that the new device is designed to function regardless of connectivity speeds and will bridge the existing gap in the system, until broadband gets to every part of the country.
On pricing, she allayed the fears of prospective users, saying that the services will be affordable to serve all the desiring customers in Nigeria.
