Mr Kyle Whitehill has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Vodafone Ghana. He is expected to execute from 1st of July, 2010. Vodafone Ghana is an Operating Company of Vodafone Group Plc., the world leading mobile Telecommunications Company, with significant presence in Europe, the Middle East Africa, Asia Pacific and the United States. Vodafone Ghana is a total communications solutions provider—mobile, fixed lines, internet, voice and data- and is currently unmatched in providing fixed line and internet services.
Kyle Whitehill joined Vodafone in 2001 as the Head of Enterprise Business in the UK. During his tenure, the Enterprise Business Unit blended under Kyle’s leadership to form a cohesive, market orientated and delivery focused organization. It is also recognized for its positive business culture, and employees who are motivated and engaged. In February 2008, he was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for Vodafone Business in India after which the subscriber base of the company’s business grew from 47 million to more than 100 million.
The Board of Vodafone Ghana met on Tuesday 15 June 2010 to appoint Kyle Whitehill and formally welcomed him to the company. Mr. Whitehill replaced David Venn, who will be abdicating at the end of June 2010.
