BlackBerry introduces hands-free device in South Africa

Must Read

Research in Motion, the company behind Blackberry’s smart technology, launched a new hands-free accessory, Visor Mount Speakerphone, in the South African market.

The device is Bluetooth-enabled and allows drivers to make and receive calls from a BlackBerry smartphone while keeping their hands on the wheel. The calls are diverted over the car’s stereo system, in the same way music stored on the smartphone can be played.

The BlackBerry Visor Mount Speakerphone can even announce driving directions from a GPRS, third-party application installed on the phone. The device only needs to be attached to a car’s visor and switched on and is available at MTN, Vodacom and Nashua Mobile outlets across the country.
