FIFA.com is offering other websites the chance to replicate its unique coverage of world football and FIFA competitions for free through its content syndication programme, the world football governing body said.
FIFA’s website provides live coverage of FIFA tournaments and FIFA World Cup™ qualifiers, as well as a news service of over 170 world leagues, thanks to a worldwide network of editors. It is available in English, French, Spanish, German and Arabic.
“FIFA.com’s public syndication offering includes a variety of FIFA.com widgets and RSS news feeds, with the latest add-on being the World Leagues widget, which summarises FIFA.com’s comprehensive live coverage of leagues from all over the globe,” FIFA said.
It said users can see FIFA.com’s full selection of widgets at www.fifa.com/widgets.
“It includes widgets for FIFA World Cup™ qualifiers and the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking, which can be personalised for each FIFA member association. By adding FIFA..com widgets today it will enable users to follow FIFA’s official content on their website. Moreover, FIFA.com provides the latest updates from FIFA tournaments via RSS news feeds: www.fifa.com/rss.”
Widgets are portable applications that can be placed on any website, blog or social networking profile.
