zte_1.jpgIn a move that will see additional mobile network infrastructure deployed in Ghana, Glo Mobile Ghana has engaged Chinese telecoms equipment firm ZTE to install indoor and outdoor transceiver stations in the country.

The ZTE deployment will also include 3G, EDGE and HSPA infrastructure, along with Glo’s fibre data backbone.

Globacom Executive Director (Special Projects), Mr. Mike Jituboh, also said that the new ZTE deployment would eliminate bandwidth bottlenecks and ensure voice and data clarity. The new network will also be linked to the Glo 1 submarine Optic Fibre Cable.

The cable will connect Ghana to London, New York, Lisbon and 16 other major African countries.
