European and Sub-Saharan policy makers and research organisations will meet tomorrow in Brussels, Belgium, to address the development of research in ICT.
The Euro Africa Cooperation Forum, a two day event, was organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Information Society and Media in cooperation with the African Union Commission (AUC). Other groups supporting the project include the EuroAfriCa-ICT project, an initiative to enhance ICT research cooperation between Europe and sub-Saharan Africa.
Over 300 delegates are expected to attend the forum, promising to provide the opportunity for networking with key players in the ICT research field of both territories.
The forum will also serve to inform delegates about various research projects that form part of current cooperation agreements, including the EU–AU Partnership on Science, ICT and Space and other EC–AUC Programmes.
