Research In Motion (RIM) and Vodacom Tanzania announced that the BlackBerry® solution is now available to Vodacom Tanzania subscribers throughout the country. The BlackBerry® solution brings together innovative smartphones, software and services to allow easy access to email (including attachment viewing), phone, messaging, organiser, web, multimedia and thousands of other business and lifestyle applications for people on the move.
Whether users need to manage email on the go, return a phone call, navigate to a location with real-time GPS directions, or access the Internet, the BlackBerry solution helps them easily manage their work or personal activities – all on one smartphone.
Vodacom Tanzania has now officially launched the BlackBerry® Curve™ 8310 and BlackBerry® Pearl™ 8110 smartphones for both prepaid and postpaid customers.
BlackBerry smartphone subscribers on the Vodacom Tanzania network will benefit from unlimited email and Internet access all day long, for a fixed monthly subscription fee.

Vodacom Tanzania has structured attractive packages for BlackBerry® Internet Service, providing subscribers with unlimited Internet and email access from a BlackBerry smartphone for a fixed monthly subscription fee.
Individuals using a compatible BlackBerry smartphone can opt for the “BlackBerry® on Vodacom Prepaid” package, which adds BlackBerry Internet Service to an existing or new Vodacom Prepaid account for as little as TZS36,000 for 30 days, TZS99,000 for 60 days or TZS180,000 for 180 days. Alternatively, they can add BlackBerry Internet Service to an existing or new Vodacom Post-paid account for TZS36,000 per month.
Business users wanting to access their corporate email and other applications using BlackBerry® Enterprise Server can subscribe to a BlackBerry Enterprise Service subscription plan (TZS54,000/month) which includes BlackBerry Internet Service access for free.
The BlackBerry Pearl 8110 smartphone is available countrywide from Vodashops for TZS699,000, while the BlackBerry Curve 8310 smartphone costs TSZ735,000.
